CAPITranslator is a Java application that translators use to translate primary language data to secondary language data.

Client side:
- Java Swing provides a richer and more responsive user interface than is available on a web page. Also application is Operating System independent.
- Full- featured application is launched with a single click from user's web browser via Java Web Start.
- Users do not need to manually update applications because each time they launch an application, it is transparently updated from the web--so they always use the most recent version available.
Server side:
- Apache Axis SOAP engine is plugged into Oracle Application Server.
- Apache Xerces2 XML parser provides high performance.
- JDBC technology makes accessing database easy, regardless of the driver and database product.
Client and Server communicate via SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) over HTTP.

Minimum recommended system:
- 500 MHz Pentium III CPU or equivalent.
- 512 MB RAM.
235 MB of permanent disk space for Java Runtime Environment and 180 MB of temporary disk space required during installation.
Optional: An appropriate sound card for audio play back, if necessary. For example, a SoundBlaster-compatible card for Windows machines without built-in audio support, or an Ultimedia sound card for AIX machines without built-in audio support.

J2SE(TM) Runtime Environment 5.0 and up. This is an one-time installation.

- Click here to download and install J2SE(TM) Runtime Environment (Other Operating System).
Web browser preference
- Internet Explorer 4 or higher.
- Mozilla Firefox.

Executable jar file can always be download via email or CD-ROM. User can always run it by command line or double click a desktop short cut.
